One-lane traffic, delays expected during resurfacing of Route MM, between 96 and Route D in Oronogo

(From MODOT)

Drivers can expect one-lane traffic when a project to resurface Jasper County Route MM begins the week of August 17, the Missouri Department of Transportation said.

Contractor crews will lay a new asphalt surface along an approximately 1.7-mile stretch of Route MM between Missouri Route 96 and Jasper County Route D in Oronogo.

Traffic Impacts

-Traffic reduced to one lane where contractor crews are laying asphalt

-Drivers will encounter pilot cars where crews are working. Drivers should wait for the pilot vehicle before proceeding through the work zone or before entering the work zone from a side road.

-Use caution when traveling through the work zone and watch for crews and equipment on the road

-No signed detours

-Drivers are urged to find alternate routes around the work zone

-Signs and message boards will alert drivers to the work zone

Weather and/or construction delays will alter the work schedule.

This is part of a larger project that includes resurfacing Jasper County routes M and H and Newton County Route CC. Routes M and H have been completed and are open to traffic. More information about Route CC will be announced closer to the start of that project.
