"Newsmakers" program to feature Meals on Wheels

The next edition of “Newsmakers” on KGCS-TV takes a look at the “Meals on Wheels” program, and the ongoing challenges of meeting the needs of homebound seniors.

Jennifer Shotwell, director of the Area Agency on Aging, sits down with Judy Stiles, host and KGCS general manager - to discuss how the organization has continued to serve the community during the pandemic, as well as its continued need for support.

The show will begin airing nightly at 5:30 p.m. the week of Nov. 15, and Saturday, Nov. 21 at 5:30 a.m. on KOAM-TV. It’s also posted on the station’s YouTube channel (KGCS Missouri Southern) at: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vNAQx0z5yOY.

KGCS programing can be seen on channel 21, and is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
