A Joplin man was cited for driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 8:10 p.m. Monday on MO 43 at Elm Drive, four miles south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1997 Chevrolet Cavalier driven by Michael J. Fairhurst, 62, Joplin, ran a stop sign, ran off the roadway and struck a fence.
Fairhurst was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
