Granby teen injured avoiding deer


A Granby teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident 7:15 p.m. Thursday on Route HH, two miles east of Neosho.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 16-year-old boy, while trying to avoid hitting a deer, lost control of a 2003 Ford Explorer Sport Trac, ran off the roadway and overturned.

The boy was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
