Blue Eye man uses pit bull to escape Sarcoxie officers, wife arrested on felony charges

On 05-29-2021, a Sarcoxie Officer initiated a traffic stop on a gray colored Chrysler Caravan at Kum & Go for a minor traffic infraction.
 
The vehicle proceeded to flee from the officer east on Birch Road. The vehicle left the roadway at County Road 8 and Birch into a corn field. The vehicle went through three fence lines before coming to a stop at Lawrence 1000. Sarcoxie officers followed the tire tracks across three fields.







 
Sarcoxie officers and bystander located a male wearing a gray t-shirt, blue jeans, having strawberry blonde hair, tattoos and was telling the female to "hurry baby we have to keep going." Running northbound towards I44. Both subjects were almost apprehended before the male released a pit bull on the bystander.
 
The female was apprehended by another agency assisting it the search.
 
Jasper County Sheriff’s Office deployed a drone to search the large section of land, unfortunately the male was not located.







 
Cendra Plopper of Blue Eye, MO was placed under arrest for Tampering 2nd, Resisting Arrest, Felony Property damage, and Obstruction (stating she didn't know who was driving the vehicle).
 
The male, identified by the bystander is a person of interest and wanted for questioning, is a Timothy Skylan Plopper out of Blue Eye, MO, husband to Cendra Plopper.
 
The Chrysler Caravan was stolen out of Monett, MO.
 
Sarcoxie Officers followed leads on known associates in the area late into the night with no avail.
