Anderson woman, Connecticut man injured in crash on I-35

Two people were injured in a one-vehicle crash 5:14 p.m. Sunday on northbound I-35 eight miles south of Bethany.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2002 Nissan Frontier driven by Jenny L. Lotton, 30, Anderson, left the west side of the roadway, overcorrected and overturned.

The vehicle returned to the roadway and continued overturning off the east side of the road. A passenger, Luis R. Gutierrez, 33, New Britain, Connecticut, was ejected out the passenger side window.

Gutierrez was was taken to Cameron Regional Medical Center, then flown to Truman Medical Center with serious injuries.

Lotton was treated for moderate injuries at Harrison County Community Hospital.
