More than 75 students at Thomas Jefferson Independent Day School in grades 3, 4, and 5, will honor veterans at a special Veterans Day Celebration in the TJ Concert Hall at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 11, 2014.
The students will honor all veterans, and will also personally honor more than 30 veterans from the Joplin area who will attend the ceremony. The students have prepared patriotic songs, letters, and flags for the celebration, and will invite the veterans to lunch with them in the TJ Commons immediately following the ceremony.
