One person was injured in a three-vehicle accident 4:25 p.m.Friday on MO 43, one mile south of Joplin.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2008 Ford Fusion driven by Wesley K. Miksell, 58, Seneca, and a 2008 Cheverolet HHR driven by Robin A. Day, 53, Springfield, were stopped in traffic waiting for a vehicle ahead of them to make a left turn. Trisina M. Stotts, 37, Racine, driving a 1997 Ford Crown Victoria did not notice they were stopped and rear-ended the Day vehicle, which was pushed forward and struck the Miksell vehicle.
David A. Day, 54, Springfield, a passenger in the Day vehicle was treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
