Joplin Police Department arrests convicted felon, six guns, drugs confiscated

(From the Joplin Police Department)

The pictured items were taken off of a traffic stop conducted by a Joplin Police Corporal overnight last night.

The convicted felon was arrested for being a felon in possession of six guns including one with the serial number removed, which is also illegal. He also had 57 hydrocodone pills, scales, paraphernalia and just over a pound of marijuana.

Very good work by our officer to remove these illegally possessed firearms from our streets.

  1. It is too bad we don't have jail capacity to keep these bad guys locked up. Our poor police officers arrest the same people over and over. Thankfully no one was hurt but a felon with weapons is dangerous. I read today about a man arrested 5 times for DUI allowed to bond out. Must we wait until he kills someone before he's behind bars.
