Joplin Police need help identifying pedestrian seriously injured in accident at 20th and Range Line

We are seeking to identify a pedestrian involved in a crash at 20th and Range Line at 10:18 this morning. This pedestrian has sustained life threatening injuries and we are trying to notify his family.

We can release the following information in hopes of reaching someone that may know him:
-White male, estimate to be around the age of 20
-Medium build 5’10’’ to 6’ tall.
-Brown hair, slightly curly
-He was wearing jeans and a black t-shirt
-He wore the black Nike shoes with white bottoms. They appeared to be rather new.
-He is clean shaven and has no tattoo’s or distinguishing marks.
-He was first observed walking across the Home Depot parking lot and crossed Wallgreens where he entered Range Line.
-He was walking west across Range Line westbound.
-There was an electronic device on the ground, possibly an MP3 player near the point of impact. It is unknown if that was on the ground already or fell from his person. It is blue and purple.
-A fingerprint scan returned no result.
