A Carthage man was injured in a two-vehicle accident 12:24 p.m. today on I-44, two miles west of Mount Vernon.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Dodge 3500 driven by Kenny W. Hastings, 58, Carthage, struck a 2002 Freightliner driven by Cruz R. Alantz, 38, Mount Pleasant, Texas, in the rear.
Hastings was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
