Three people were injured in a one-vehicle accident 3 a.m. today on I-44, seven miles west of Mount Vernon.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2004 Ford F150 pickup driven by Samuel H. Townsend, 19, Goodman, went off the roadway, struck a guard rail and went down an embankment.
Townsend and two passengers, Collin D. Dixon, 21, Granby, and Gerad M. Kellstadt, 19, Goodman, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
