Three Carthage residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 7:30 a.m. today on Chestnut Street, a a half mile east of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2009 Toyota Camry driven by Mark H. Brewer, 66, Carthage, struck the rear of a John Deere tractor driven by Robert E. Kinney, 84, Carthage, causing the tractor to go off the right side of the roadway.
Brewer was airlifted to Mercy Hospital ,Springfield, with serious injuries.
A passenger in the Brewer vehicle, Julie A. Winter, 66, Carthage, was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
Kinney was treated for minor injuries at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage.
