The next two editions of “Newsmakers” will feature leaders in both the education and city government realms.
Joplin Schools Superintendent Dr. Melinda Moss will be the guest on the next program, which will begin airing the week of September 30 on KGCS-TV. Airtimes are 5:30 p.m. Monday through Thursday. It will also air at 5:30 a.m. on Saturday, October 6 on KOAM-TV.
The second program will feature Joplin Mayor Gary Shaw and Joplin City Manager Sam Anselm, and will air the week of October 7.
Both programs are also posted on the station’s YouTube site, “KGCS Missouri Southern.”
“We feel that it’s important to provide this opportunity for an update on news from Joplin Schools and the City of Joplin,” says Judy Stiles, KGCS General Manager and host of the half-hour interview program.
“Newsmakers” is produced by KGCS-TV. The station provides hands-on learning opportunities for students, and operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern. KGCS programming may be seen over the air on digital channel 22 and on regional cable television systems.
