Man arrested on burglary, meth charges after leaving selfies for Joplin Police

(From the Joplin Police Department)

Incident Spotlight

Last Wednesday an officer responded to a Joplin business to take a burglary report.

A suspect had entered the business overnight and stole items and money. In addition to the typical evidence left behind, the suspect had taken "selfies" on a couple of the business IPad's.

The responding officer emailed out the suspect's selfies to the department to see if anyone could identify him.

Several officers and jailers responded with the same name of the suspect as they had recognized him.

Officers and detectives caught up to the suspect yesterday and arrested him for the burglary. He also had a baggie of meth in his wallet, adding a felony drug charge.
