Carthage, Neosho residents injured in near head-on collision on 86

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 4:28 p.m. Wednesday on MO 86, two miles south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2011 Ford Crown Victoria driven by Ricky D. Tinsley, 49, Neosho, traveled into the northbound lane and collided with a 1989 Chevrolet 1500 driven by James E. Meek, 39, Carthage, striking it nearly head on.


Meek was treated for moderate injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Tinsley was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
