Jasper Police traffic stop nets arrest of man with active warrants, confiscation of meth, paraphernalia

Possession Of Controlled Substance Arrest

On Thursday, December 20, 2018 at 1230 hours, a Jasper officer initiated a traffic stop near the intersection of Main and Bel Air St. on a maroon Ford Mustang.

Contact was made with Mark Peterson who had an active warrant.



A search of Peterson’s person and pockets yielded a plastic baggy with a white powder substance suspected to be methamphetamine and a plastic straw used for snorting narcotics was found in the vehicle.
Note:  Peterson is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
