New Jersey residents injured in crash on I-44

Two New Jersey residents were injured in a two-vehicle accident 2:50 a.m. today on I-44 at the 17.6 mile marker, two miles east of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, as a 2017 Freightliner driven by Phillip D. Lozoskie, 57, Baltimore, Maryland, was slowing for a crash and was struck in the rear by a 2016 Volvo Cab driven by Craig L. Green, 47, which was unable to slow in time.

Green was treated for minor injuries and a passenger in his vehicle, Willie Simmon, Jr., 48, Galloway, New Jersey, for moderate injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
