The Joplin Area Transportation Study Organization (JATSO) is seeking a 14-day public comment period for the Fiscal Year 2020 Unified Planning Work Program (UPWP) and for the 2020-2023 Transportation Improvement Plan (TIP). The public comment period is open from September 11 through September 25.
Comments for any portion of the UPWP or the TIP may be submitted for consideration. JATSO is the transportation planning agency for the Joplin metropolitan area, as designated by the federal government, and its goal is to provide for regional mobility.
The UPWP is a document that designates Federal funds for JATSO Planning activities in the upcoming fiscal year. The TIP contains transportation and transit projects in the Joplin Metropolitan Area that are partially funded by Federal transportation programs over the next four-year period.
All comments must be received by 5 p.m., Tuesday, September 25, 2019. The JATSO Policy Board will vote on these items on Thursday, September 26, 2019 at 1:30 p.m. in the 5th floor conference room at Joplin City Hall, 602 S. Main Street.
