U. S. Navy veteran Josh Hanes has been with Joplin Police Department 13 years

Introduction Tuesday continues this week with Corporal Josh Hanes.

Corporal Hanes has served with the Joplin Police Department for 13 years. Before becoming a Joplin Police Officer, Corporal Hanes was a police officer in St. Petersburg, Florida. 

Corporal Hanes is also a United States Navy Veteran. 

When asked what he wanted our community to know about his job Corporal Hanes stated that everyone at JPD takes their jobs seriously and our biggest responsibility is keeping the community safe. Corporal Hanes asks for respect and honesty in all his interactions. 

When not working Corporal Hanes and his family stay busy with youth sports. Corporal Hanes is assigned as a supervisor to a Uniform Operations squad.
