People have been getting scam calls from 417-200-2430 and 417-355-9091 claiming to be the Jasper County Sheriff’s Department. When people call the number back it goes to recorded message making you think it is the Sheriff’s Office.
I assure you it is not, it is a scam. Do not answer the call and do not call them back if they leave a message.
Here are some simple rules for dealing with scam calls:
-Don’t answer calls from a number you don’t recognize.
-Never give your personal information out.
-Never give them any of you banking information.
-Do not go get gift cards if they are requesting them.
Use your common sense. If you think it is a scam call, it probably is.
