The local arts scene will be cast into the spotlight on the next edition of “Newsmakers” – which begins airing the week of October 13 on KGCS-TV.
The weekly program features Connect2Culture president and CFO, Clifford Wert and Connect2Culture community arts director, Emily Frankoski. They sit down with host and KGCS general manager, Judy Stiles, to talk about National Arts & Humanities Month and the upcoming “Curtains Up” series of performances in Joplin.
They’ll also give viewers an update on the Harry M. Cornell Arts & Entertainment Complex in downtown Joplin.
The show will air weeknights at 5:30 p.m. on KGCS-TV, Saturday, October 19, at 5:30 a.m. on KOAM-TV – and is also currently posted on KGCS’s YouTube channel, “KGCS Missouri Southern.”
KGCS programming can be seen on channel 21. It is also available on regional cable television systems such as Sparklight, Mediacom and Suddenlink Communications. The station operates as a service of the Department of Communication at Missouri Southern State University.
