Police: Miami man killed 11-year-old daughter in murder-suicide, critically injured ex-wife and her husband

At approximately 8:30 PM on 10-15-19, Miami officers were called to a report of gunshots at 217 I St NW.

Upon arrival they found a female subject identified as Melissa Wallace, who had been shot. 

Melissa had fled the residence and attempted to get help. The suspect, David Billings, was reported to be in the residence belonging to James Miller. 

Miller called 911 and reported Billings was in the house shooting people. Officers made entry into the residence and found Billings deceased from a self-inflicted gunshot wound. Billings’ 11-year-old child had been fatally shot and James Miller had also been shot. Miller and Wallace were life flighted to Tulsa and are reported in stable condition. David Billings is the ex of Melissa Wallace and have been having ongoing domestic disputes.

Miami Police Department has reached out to Miami Public Schools and has offered assistance in handling the death of a Miami student.
