344 PM CST Thu Jan 16 2020

...Wintry Precipitation Likely Later Tonight and Friday...

.A wintry mix will develop from southwest to northeast across the
region tonight as an upper level storm system approaches. After a
few hours of a wintry mix, the predominant precipitation type
will then become freezing rain into Friday morning. The freezing
rain will then slowly transition to rain from west to east Friday
afternoon as temperatures warm above freezing. Ice accumulations
of 0.10" to 0.20" are expected, with isolated pockets near 0.25".
This will likely cause untreated roadways to become slick in
spots, especially bridges and overpasses. Isolated power outages
will be possible due to ice accretion and windy conditions.
