A Carthage teen was injured in a one-vehicle accident 12:14 a.m. today on County Road, three miles northeast of Carthage.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Toyota Camry driven by Sydney Sanders, 19, Carthage, left the roadway, struck a mailbox, culvert, overturned, then struck a post.
Sanders, who was treated for serious injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin, was cited for driving while intoxicated, careless and imprudent driving and for not wearing a seat belt, according to the Highway Patrol arrest list.
