Joplin, Neosho residents injured in collision on Business Loop 49 at River Road

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 5:05 p.m. Saturday on Business Loop 49 at River Road, one mile south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, 2000 Lexus ES 300 driven by Galina V. Panarina, 62, Joplin, attempted to make a U-turn at the intersection and pulled into the pathway of a 2006 Honda Accord driven by Melvin R. Daughtery, 62, Neosho.

Panarina was treated for minor injuries a Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.

Daughtery was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
