Monett residents charged with assault, peace disturbance after incident at Casey's in Sarcoxie

On 12-28-2020, Chief Corum was dispatched to Casey's General Store for a Disturbance in Progress, before arriving the Disturbance turned into a physical assault on an employee of the store.

Upon arrival Chief Corum made contact with three male individuals in their vehicle attempting to leave the store. She requested back up and Officer Rice to her location immediately due to the demeanors of the front and rear passenger. 

Upon reviewing a cell phone video on the scene and speaking with the victim, Trenton Jarrett, 24, of Monett, MO and Davine Cardenas, 17, of Monett, MO were placed under arrest for Assault 3rd, Disorderly Conduct, and Peace Disturbance. D. 








Cardenas was also charged with Minor in Possession due to being intoxicated. Jarrett was also charged with Resisting Arrest. Jerome Cardenas, 20, of Monett, MO was also placed under arrest for DWI and Minor in Possession. 

Charges were sent to the Jasper County Prosecutor's Office for further review. 

All parties are innocent until proven otherwise by the courts. 

P.S. Casey's was not robbed, we want to stop that rumor in its tracks. If you do not know, do not assume please.
