Seneca man cited for felony DWI after running red light, injuring Joplin man in crash


A Seneca man was cited for felony driving while intoxicated following a two-vehicle collision 4:55 p.m. Friday on MO 43, a half mile south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2005 Dodge Ram 1500 driven by Cody D. Williford, 21, Seneca, failed to stop at a red light and struck a 1994 GMC Sierra 1500 driven by Kenneth R. McKeehan, 55, Joplin, in the intersection.







A passenger in the McKeehan vehicle, Shawn E. Smith, 43, Joplin, was treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.

In addition to DWI, Williford was cited for careless and imprudent driving and for having no valid license, no registration and no insurance.
