Neosho residents injured in collision near Newtonia

Two Neosho residents were injured in a two-vehicle collision 4:20 p.m. Wednesday on MO 86 one mile west of Newtonia.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2020 Chevrolet Spark driven by George R. Brown, 69, Neosho, was attempting to make a left turn onto MO 86 and was struck by a 2001 Chevrolet 1500 driven by Roger D. Schoonover, 77, Stark City.

Brown and a passenger in his vehicle, Vickie R. Brown, 70, Neosho, were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.
