On October 23, 2022, officers from the Neosho Police Department were dispatched to the 1000 block of Stratford Place in reference to a death investigation.
It was a reported that a male and female were found deceased in their home.
Officers made entry and secured the scene until investigators arrived.
The subjects were identified as Charles Barnett, 87, and Donna Barnett, 78, of Neosho.
Upon further investigation, it appears the female was shot by her husband with a .38 caliber and died from her injuries.
The investigation is ongoing and if any further information is discovered it will be provided in a follow-up press release.
