Several Joplin Schools representatives traveled this week to Jefferson City to watch Soaring Heights Elementary special education teacher Julie Pagan receive her Regional Teacher of the Year award.
The Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education hosted local and regional finalists at the Teacher of the Year Banquet, and named the state's top winner.
