(From the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce)Today our Vice President and COO/CFO Tonya Sprenkle celebrates 30 years with the Joplin Area Chamber of Commerce.
Tonya started at the Chamber in 1992 as Finance Manager and later advanced to Finance Director.
She was promoted to the role of Vice President in 2011.
Throughout her career, she has been instrumental in many Chamber efforts, including post-tornado recovery and the purchasing and renovation of the Joseph Newman Innovation Center and Advanced Training & Technology Center. During an 11-month search process for a new CEO in 2021–2022, she served as co-interim Chamber president.
Her passion is to support the Chamber by providing new tools and resources so that its team can better serve its membership. When she is not helping members thrive, she enjoys volunteering on boards for various organizations in Joplin, including One Joplin, Connect2Culture, Girl Scouts of the Missouri Heartland, and Active Lifestyle Events.
