Jasper County Commission Minutes- May 2 meeting

The General Session for the Jasper County Commission was called to order at 9:00 a.m. on May 2, 2023, in room 101 of the Jasper County Courthouse by Presiding Commissioner John Bartosh. 

The meeting was opened with a prayer by Jasper County Sheriff Randee Kaiser followed by the pledge of allegiance. 

Roll Call: Presiding Commissioner John Bartosh, Commissioner Darieus K. Adams, and Commissioner Tom Flanigan were present.

Approval of Minutes: Commissioner Adams made a motion to approve the minutes from the April 25, 2023, General Session. Commissioner Flanigan seconded the motion. By unanimous vote, the minutes were approved.

Elected Officials/Citizen Request: 

Jasper County Clerk Charlie Davis presented the Form 40 (Statement of Railroad and Utility Property) for the Commissions acceptance. The form shows only a small increase in total assessed values for personal and real property. Commissioner Adams made a motion to accept the Form 40. Commissioner Flanigan seconded the motion. By unanimous vote the motion was approved. 

April Ford with Jasper County E-911 requested that Presiding Commissioner Bartosh sign a Missouri Department of Revenue form allowing the sales tax audit and sales/use tax information be provided to Jasper County Emergency Services E-911. The county counselor indicated that it was appropriate to have the form signed.
