(From the Joplin Health Department)First Impact, a FREE program for teen drivers and their parents, is coming to Joplin on Thursday, June 22nd.
This traffic safety program educates parents about Missouri’s Graduated Driver License (GDL) law as well as providing them with the tools needed to monitor, coach, and support their new teen driver. The target audience is parents, grandparents, guardians or foster parents of teen drivers and teens.
Topics covered:
• Awareness of teen driving risks
• Understanding of Missouri’s GDL law
• GDL monitoring and enforcement at home
• Importance of being a positive role model
