Joplin man sentenced to 27 months on burglary charge

Joshua Devena, 37, of Joplin, Missouri was sentenced to 27 months imprisonment earlier this month.

The sentence came after Devena pled guilty to fleeing from law enforcement in December, 2020 and again fleeing from Cherokee County Sheriff's Deputies after committing a residential burglary outside of Riverton in December, 2021.

Devena is being held in the Cherokee County Jail pending transfer to the Kansas Department of Corrections and was prosecuted by the Cherokee County Attorney's Office.
