Three people injured, including Carthage woman, 1-year-old girl, in crash caused by deer

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 9:20 p.m. Sunday on eastbound I-44 one mile east of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a Lexus SUV driven by Lin Lin, 39, Hanover Township, Pennsylvania was stopped in the road and hitting a deer, when it was struck in the rear by a 2005 Honda Accord driven by Kylee M. Morris, 22, Carthage.







Lin was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.

Morris was treated for serious injuries and a passenger, a 1-year-old girl for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
