Webb City Police arrest Branson man on burglary charge

(From the Webb City Police Department)

On 05/09/2023 at 6:38am, Webb City officers were dispatched to the area of Cardinal Mini Storage (1038 N. Madison) in reference to a male subject who had just jumped a fence from that property into a residential property's back yard on Oak Way.

The subject was described as a white male wearing a black hat, dark shirt, and blue jeans. He was reported to be jumping residential fences on Oak Way, as well as trying to enter some residences. We received several calls with this subject's updated location each time he was observed.

He was finally observed running toward a wooded area near North Madison and Country Crossing. Our officers surrounded the area and ultimately found an unlocked door at the Webb City Elks Lodge (1010 N. Madison).

Officers began announcing and searching the building when a male subject appeared at one of the exit doors and surrendered to police without incident, wearing the described clothing, and admitting to fleeing from and hiding from police.

A 45-yeard old white male from Branson, MO, was arrested for multiple charges including Burglary. He was found to currently be on supervised release (probation/parole) for Burglary. He is being held at the Webb City Police Department on an investigative hold for that charge.

The investigation continues - any residents in this area who have any viable video, audio, or pictures regarding this incident are encouraged to contact the Webb City Police Department.
