Carl Junction, Pittsburg residents injured in 3-vehicle accident on 171

Two people were injured in a three-vehicle accident 3:23 p.m. today on MO 171 one mile southeast of Waco.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Ford Explorer driven by Heather G. McGinn, 40, Carl Junction, was slowing to make a left turn, with the vehicle behind it, a 2016 Buick Enclave driven by Janice K. Lemert, 75, Pittsburg, Kansas, also slowing.

A 2012 Subaru Impreza driven by Jordan A. Blanton, 19, Carl Junction, struck the rear of the Lemert vehicle, which struck the rear of the McGinn vehicle.

Blanton and McGinn were treated for moderate injuries at Mercy Joplin.
