A Greenfield man was killed in a one-vehicle accident 7:07 p.m. Saturday on County Road 187 three miles southwest of Dadeville.
According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2018 Toyota Camry driven by Derek E. Bridges, 53, Greenfield, traveled off the left side of the roadway, overturned off a bridge and came to rest on its roof in the river.
Dade County Coroner Gary Vanta pronounced Bridges dead at the scene at 7:30 p.m.
The fatality was the 82nd this year for Highway Patrol Troop D.
