(From George Washington Carver National Monument)You are invited to participate in National Public Lands Day (NPLD) at George Washington Carver National Monument on Saturday, September 28th from 9:00 a.m. to noon.
NPLD is the largest single-day volunteer effort for America’s public lands. Each year, thousands of volunteers come together on the fourth Saturday of September to help restore, improve, and enjoy public lands around the country.
This year, the theme is “Together for Tomorrow”, to foster environmental stewardship in youth and community. Volunteers of all ages and abilities are invited to participate! There will be a variety of outdoor projects, such as trail and grounds maintenance. Dress for the weather and bring a reusable water bottle. The event will be canceled if rain.

The park is located two miles west of Diamond, Missouri, on Highway V, then ¼ mile south on Carver Road.
