Three people injured in collision with Fairview fire truck as it headed toward another crash

Three people were injured in a two-vehicle accident 3:28 p.m. Monday on Zebra Road two miles south of Fairview.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1992 Chevrolet pickup driven by Tara M. Sims, 30, Fairview, failed to yield at an intersection to a 2009 Freightliner fire truck driven by Wilson D. Reyes-Yoder, 27, Fairview, which was operating lights and siren and on its way to the scene of another crash.

A passenger in the Sims vehicle, Mary B. Sims, 52, Monett, was treated for serious injuries, with Sims and another passenger, a 10-year-old Fairview girl, treated for minor injuries at Mercy Joplin.
