Pineville, Springfield residents injured in five-vehicle chain reaction crash on I-44

Two people were injured in a five-vehicle accident 2:45 p.m. today on I-44, two miles east of Sarcoxie.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2010 Ford F250 driven by Mason T. Stalzer, 18, Ozark, struck a 2015 Ford van driven by Roger C. Stennet, 35, Pineville, in the rear, causing the Stennet vehicle to impact a 2018 Dodge Ram driven by Matthew R. Stander, 34, Rogersville, a 2004 International tractor-trailer driven by Roger C. Simon, 60, Mansfield, and a 2018 Volvo tractor-trailer driven by Gabriel Medina, 49, San Antonio, Texas.

Stennet and a passenger in his vehicle, Bryan K. Manuel, 37, Springfield, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin.
