Public can now search Joplin Municipal Court case information

(From the City of Joplin)

The general public can now search Municipal Court case information on line, as well as view upcoming court dockets, as a result of software additions recently completed. The availability of these online searches will allow individuals the opportunity view open case information and future dockets without having to either wait in line at the court office or inquire with anyone on the phone.

The search site is user friendly and can be found at www.municipalrecordsearch.com/joplinmo. There is also a link attached to the Municipal Court’s website, through the City’s main site, which is entitled “Search Cases and View Upcoming Dockets”.

The search can be made by name, citation number, or case number. The types of information that one can expect to be available for viewing will be the Defendant’s name, citation number, violation date, offense location, current case status, case disposition, and case judgment.

“This is a great benefit to our citizens because they can easily access this information,” said Lamonte Ratcliff, Court Administrator. “It saves them a trip to the Courthouse or a phone call, both which can be time-consuming. Plus they can view the information 24/7, and not have to wait for the office to be open during the day.”

Office hours for the Municipal Court are 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday. The City’s Information Systems did the installation work for this support tool of the Joplin Municipal Court.
