Three Goodman residents, including 5-year-old, injured in accident on I-49 near Joplin

Three Goodman residents were injured in a one-vehicle accident 9:40 a.m. today on Highway on I-49, four miles south of Joplin.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2014 Ford Fiesta driven by Bandy S, House, 39, Goodman, lost control on wet pavement, traveled off the right side of the roadway struck a bridge, went back across the roadway and struck the bridge again.

Two passengers, Nellie A. Boyer, 68, Goodman, and Sophia A. Bunch, 5, Goodman, were treated for minor injuries at Mercy Hospital, Joplin. Another passenger, Janice S. Smith, 58, Goodman, was treated for moderate injuries at Mercy.
