Drivers along 15th Street in Joplin will experience lane shifts next week

As stormwater work continues in the recovery area, drivers along 15th Street will experience lane shifts near Michigan Avenue starting Sunday, September 9.

Work along 15th Street is scheduled to be completed by late Friday, September 14. The street will remain open, however drivers will need to adhere to the marked lane closures throughout the week.

Michigan Avenue will be a one lane road heading south from 15th to 17th Street. Drivers heading north from 20thStreet on Michigan Avenue will need to use alternative route to reach 15th Street. There will also be temporary parking restrictions along Michigan Avenue due to the construction work.

Work is being completed by Dalton Killinger and is part of the Stormwater Project 11 of the Community Development Block Grant Disaster Recovery program. Crews have notified businesses and residents within the immediate area of the stormwater construction and lane closures.
