...THE FLASH FLOOD WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 745 PM CDT FOR
CHEROKEE AND SOUTHERN CRAWFORD COUNTIES...

At 410 PM CDT, Doppler radar indicated heavy rain across the warned
area. Flash flooding is expected to begin shortly. Over an inch of
rain has fallen in the last hour with an additional two to three
inches of rain possible as the heavy rain remains nearly stationary
over the region.

This warning includes but is not limited to the following low water
crossings...
Highway 7 at Little Cherry Creek north of Columbus.

PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...

A Flash Flood Warning means that flooding is imminent or occurring.
If you are in the warned area move to higher ground immediately.
Residents living along streams and creeks should take immediate
precautions to protect life and property.

Excessive runoff from heavy rainfall will cause flooding of small
creeks and streams, country roads, farmland, and other low lying
spots.
