Carthage teen cited for DWI following crash on 59

A Carthage teen was charged with driving while intoxicated following a one-vehicle accident 9:10 a.m. today on northbound U. S. 59 at Fidelity.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 1999 Toyota Corolla driven by Tiffani P. Taylor, 19, Carthage, traveled off the left side of the road and struck an embankment.

Taylor, who was treated for minor injuries at Mercy McCune-Brooks Hospital, Carthage, was also cited for not wearing a seat belt, driving while suspended and for not having a valid license.
