Seneca Police Department makes arrests on numerous warrants

On 11/17/19, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Washington/Billings for a moving violation.

The driver was arrested for driving while suspended and transported to Newton County Jail.

On 11/8/19, Officer Housley stopped a vehicle for a traffic violation. The driver, James Barton, was arrested on warrants. 

The driver decided to call Glenda Barton to come pick up the vehicle. When Glenda Barton arrived, Officer Kirby ran her ID and it came back that she had a warrant out of Newton County for passing bad checks.

On 11/8/19, Officer Housley made a traffic stop at Washington/Mineral for an equipment violation. The passenger, James Barton had a warrant out of Wyandotte County Kansas for: Criminal Threats. 

Barton was arrested and transported to Newton County Jail. The driver was issued a citation for Possession of Drug Paraphernalia. The driver and vehicle were released at the scene.

On 10/18/19, Officer Kirby was dispatched to Highway 60 for a C&I Driver. The driver was cited for DWI, C&I, No Driver’s License and Possession of Controlled Substance. The driver was transported to the hospital by Med Unit. 

It should be noted that two doses of Narcan was used on the driver. The Seneca Police would like to thank the numerous concerned citizens that called in on this vehicle.
