Joplin man arrested carrying loaded shotgun after allegedly threatening to kill his grandfather

On 11-17-2019, Jasper County deputies were dispatched to the area of Black Cat Road and Fountain Road in reference to a disturbance.

Deputies were told that a male subject, later identified as Richard R. Clemmons III, 28, of Joplin, had made statements to kill his grandfather. 

When deputies arrived in the area, they located Clemmons walking in the roadway carrying a loaded 12 gauge shotgun. 

After the initial investigation, Clemmons was arrested and transported to the Jasper County Detention Center where he was charged with unlawful use of a weapon (F) $100,000 cash bond.
