Diamond residents injured following collision with Neosho teen on 59

Two people were injured in a two-vehicle collision 9:35 a.m. Sunday on MO 59, two miles south of Diamond.

According to the Highway Patrol report, a 2006 Ford Explorer driven by a 16-year-old Neosho boy rear-ended a 2013 GMC Sierra driven by Jose G. Ruiz, 58, Diamond.

Ruiz and a passenger in his vehicle, Marta Soto, 57, Diamond, were treated for minor injuries at Freeman West Hospital, Joplin.
